JOANNE ORCE

I am a freelance illustrator and painter. I have travelled all over the world including Australasia, Africa, Europe, Americas and the Carribean. I paint from these experiences and also from my daily life in and around New York. My artistic inspirations include: Edward Hopper, Milton Avery, Fairfield Porter, Peter Doig and Georges Seurat.

I studied illustration at Pratt Institute in Manhattan and have taken painting and illustration classes at the School of Visual Arts in New York, the Art Student's League of Denver in Colorado, and most recently, the Katonah Art Center in Katonah, New York with master painter Jock Macrae.

In my spare time I design, create and maintain websites for some very talented artists.
