SHATTEMUC PLEIN AIR PAINTING


'Shattemuc Rowboat', 16x20, oil on linen

Once a year, Shattemuc Yacht Club in Ossining, New York hosts a Plein Air painting event to raise money for their youth sailing program. They invite 35 local artists to arrive at the Shattemuc Yacht Marina at 7am and begin a fresh painting. Each artist submits a finished painting by 3pm and paintings go to live auction at 5pm the same day. It's a wonderful, lively event where the pressure is on to paint something new and fresh. This was my painting for today, titled 'Shattemuc Rowboat', 16x20, oil on Belgian linen.
