Bison III, 48"x48", oil on linen

This big guy was a long time in the making. This actually started out as a painting of the Highline in New York City. After a few weeks of a love/hate relationship with its progress, I threw caution to the wind and painted this bison over the top of the thing, leaving only the grass in the foreground from the original painting.

Really happy with how he turned out in the end. This will be a piece in the "Call of the Wild" art show at the Katonah Art Center, NY. The show runs Nov 18-Dec 29, 2017. It is for sale at the show.
