Caribou, 24 x 24, oil on linen

Just finished painting this guy. The canvas is a bit smaller than what I'm used to painting lately. He's very textured with many layers of oil paint and this really shows through in his coat. We saw these caribou on a trip to Alaska in 2011 and they are quite stunning.

This painting is for sale and will be on display at my art show at the Ossining Public Library in January 2018.
