Garrison Art Center Live Auction 2019

I arrived at Garrison Art Center at 7am last Saturday morning, armed with a blank canvas.

Dolores stamped the back of my canvas and I went out by the banks of the Hudson River to begin my painting...

6 chilly but productive hours later, these "Two Canoes" were complete. 20"x20", oil on linen.

At 5pm that same day, the 'fresh' painting went to live auction under a tent on the banks of the Hudson River, overlooking West Point.

It is one of my favorite painting days of the year and makes me so thankful to be a painter.
